The Ridge

Who we are- The Ridge is the Youth Group of MRC, it is for young adults grades 6th through 12th. All teens are welcome. At the Ridge we try to provide a fun and safe environment where teens can grow in their Christian walk.

Mission statement- Leading teens to Christ, teaching teens to lead.

Purpose- To prepare the next generation of Christian leaders to lead now. To teach teens to reach out to the world around them, a world that is very much in need both spiritually and physically.

Parents- Although most youth events operate seperately from parents it is not taken lightly the value of influence the parents have on their teens. At the Ridge we try to acheive a healthy balance of teen and parent involvement. What can you do as a parent to help? Start with praying. Pray for the youth and the battle they fight daily at school and with peer pressure, and media. For more things to pray for the youth contact Dan.

What we do-
Ridgeville- The first sunday of every month is "Ridgeville" this is where Connie Bleiler with the help of youth volunteers teach childrens ministry, and stays after for dodgeball and a lesson, usual pickup is 11:30.
Events- Usually one or two events are scheduled per month this includes a retreat that takes place about every other month. This is usually an overnighter to boiling springs Loft, or to another location with youth facilities.
